This card often stands for fears and anxieties - the ones that come in the darkest part of the night. Card 18 also stands for illusions. It is easy to lose our way in the moonlight. Be careful not to let deceptions and false ideas lead you astray. Sometimes the Moon is a signal that you are lost and wandering aimlessly. You must find your way back to the path and your clarity of purpose.
You are in a phase when your subconscious is trying to communicate with you. You will likely experience vivid dreams and remember most of them. You may feel frightened by this but just go with the flow and see what you learn. This card can also mean psychic ability or an interest in fields relating to illusion such as the theatre, film, writing fiction or poetry.

Sometimes signifies fiction writing or acting, particularly work in the entertainment industry. Losing control of one's daily life. The unconscious mind.

It represents flux and change and the necessity to go with the flow of the tide and not against it. It brings hidden mysteries and transformations at work and represents the unconscious forces and feelings. Duality is also often indicated - what is apparent on the surface of an issue as well as the deeper, more hidden factors.
